Nori Cabbage Salad

This salad is crisp, savoury, and packed with umami in every bite. Finely shredded cabbage gets tossed in a creamy sesame dressing then topped with crumbled seaweed and a sprinkle of black sesame seeds for extra depth and crunch. It’s simple, fresh, and comes together in minutes. Perfect as a light side or a flavourful addition to any meal.

Nori Cabbage Salad

1 whole cabbage, shredded
1–2 sheets of seasoned nori, crumbled
1 tbsp black sesame seeds, for garnish

Dressing:
3 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tsp sesame oil

Shred cabbage finely and add to large bowl.

In a small bowl lightly grind sesame seeds before adding all other dressing ingredients and mixing.

Add dressing to cabbage & mix thoroughly before adding crumbled seaweed on top.

Top with black sesame seeds before serving.
