Tomato Growing Tips: Get Your Hands Dirty for a Tasty Harvest!
With the countdown to tomato season on, now is the perfect time to get your tomato seeds started indoors! Starting them early means you'll have strong, healthy plants ready to rock and roll once the chance of frost has passed outside.
Sun & Space: Place your seedlings in a sunny spot or use grow lights. Tomatoes love the sun! Give them plenty of space to grow tall and strong.
Container Care: Start by planting seeds in small cells or containers. Once they’re 2-3 inches tall and have their true leaves, transplant them into larger pots.
Keep ‘Em Healthy: Water your seedlings well and ensure they get enough light to prevent them from becoming tall and leggy. A little pelleted chicken manure will add extra soil fertility.
Transplanting Outdoors: Wait until the soil is warm and the risk of frost is gone before planting them outside. This ensures your plants will thrive and produce a bountiful harvest.
