Ottawa Farm Fresh Mission:
To enrich people’s lives by grounding our community in human wholeness through direct connection with organic food and nature.
Ottawa Farm Fresh Responsibilities:
To provide a diverse array of fresh, delicious produce to our community every week of the CSA season, all of which adheres to the strictest standards of organic farming.
CSA Member Responsibilities:
Pick up all your baskets by the end of the season purchased: Our flexible CSA model allows members to pick up multiple baskets in a single week. It is your responsibility to attend CSA pick ups regularly and not leave an excessive amount of baskets until the end of the season. See our CSA FAQ page for more information about your pick up options.
Stay Informed: We send out a weekly newsletter with important information and announcements about both the CSA and the Farm. Please make sure you are register for this and that you read it regularly to stay up to date and to make sure you aren’t missing important information. If you don’t seem to be getting the emails make sure to check your spam folder. Information is also often available on our Instagram and Facebook pages.
CSA Transfer Policy
When you enrol in our CSA, we dedicate ourselves to cultivating precisely the right amount of produce to fulfill our promise to you. In return, we rely on your commitment to collect your share for the agreed-upon number of weeks during the CSA season for which you registered. When you do not come to collect your baskets your veggies are either donated to the food bank, or composted and returned to the soil.
Recognizing that life can present unforeseen challenges, we understand that there may be occasions when you are unable to attend as consistently as initially committed. In such instances, we offer two flexible options to accommodate your circumstances:
- Double Up Your Baskets: Should you find yourself behind schedule, you have the opportunity to catch up by doubling your baskets before the conclusion of the registered season. Our dedicated Farm Store staff is ready to assist you in facilitating this adjustment.
- Transfer Remaining Baskets: If, by the conclusion of your CSA season, you still have remaining baskets, you may transfer up to 75% of these outstanding shares to the subsequent season. For instance, if you have four baskets remaining at the end of the summer, you are eligible to receive three winter baskets in the next season. To exercise this option, kindly get in touch with our Farm Store staff or reach out to us via email at info@ottawafarmfresh.com. When contacting us, please provide precise details regarding the number of remaining baskets you wish to transfer.
CSA Refund Policy
As soon as you register for CSA we begin the process of investing the time, money, and labour necessary to provide you with a weekly basket. As such, we will only offer refunds due to extreme circumstances. Should you feel that extenuating circumstances have prevented you from picking up your basket(s) please contact us at info@ottawafarmfresh.com to work out a suitable solution.
Kindly be informed that upon completion of your registration, the funds you have invested are promptly allocated towards growing the produce you have pledged to receive. Consequently, please understand that any potential reimbursements, whether full or partial, shall be issued in the form of a Farm gift card.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines, as they enable us to maintain the integrity of our CSA program and uphold our commitment to sustainability.
