It’s hard to believe it, but even here in Ottawa we can be eating a variety of organic local greens right through the winter. While most of the salad that you’ll find in the grocery store has travelled in excess of 4000 kilometers to get to your plate, ours has travelled less than 50 meters.

We all know that eating local organic food is the best for your taste buds and for the environment, but did you know that it’s also the most healthful way to eat?

The leaves have changed colour, the temperatures are dropping, and soon enough there will be snow on the ground. That can all mean only one thing - Winter CSA is beginning! The first Winter CSA pick up is this Wednesday, Nov 3 from 2-7pm right here on the Farm.
