Connect & Energize with Farm Fresh Yoga
We have a strong personal connection to the practice of yoga, and bringing yoga to our fields has always been part of our grand farm plan. We want to give you a moment of escape and provide you with the chance to connect with nature through movement.

Farm Fresh Yoga will officially be starting on Sunday June 6, 2021. To begin we will be offering a one hour all-levels adult class at 10am on Sundays.

How will Farm Fresh Yoga work? Just purchase a single class, or a multi class pass via the website here, and then come to the Farm about 15 minuted early and follow the signs to the field!

Who will be leading you in your Farm Fresh yoga practice? Let us introduce you to Elycia Kellett, the newest member of the Ottawa Farm Fresh family.


A little bit about Elycia:

Elycia Kellett is a certified yoga teacher, who teaches alignment based vinyasa yoga. During one of Elycia’s classes you can expect a class tailored to all levels, with lots of modifications and a chance to challenge yourself. Elycia is also a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and the founder of The Balanced Approach. The Balanced Approach is a safe and supportive space where people come to improve their overall well-being through a balanced lifestyle with healthy habits around fitness, nutrition, and wellness. Q & A with Elycia
Jolianne: How does yoga fit into being connected with the land, nature, and holistic wellness?
Elycia: Yoga is about grounding ourselves, connecting to the body, mind and breath, and in doing so we connect with ourselves. Connecting to our own energy through breath (prana) which is the same energy as all living beings. Many parts of yoga such as sun salutations (Surya Namaskara) are directly honouring the sun, nature and animals. Ourselves, nature, the vegetables on the farm are all intertwined! Holistic wellness is focusing on wellness of the mind, body and soul. Just like in our yoga practice where we connect to those three aspects of ourselves, being mindful of what we eat, such as the organic vegetables on the farm, support us to optimal health & overall wellness.
Jolianne: What gets you excited about teaching yoga here on the farm?

Elycia: If you have ever visited the farm, it’s quite incredible to be driving from the hustle and bustle of the city and in a split second be transported to a tranquil getaway, filled with colourful landscapes and sunshine. Teaching in this kind of environment, with such an incredible atmosphere and filled with kind and knowledgeable people, is a dream. I am honoured to be welcomed into the Ottawa Farm Fresh community.
